Shipping Congestion

The last 18 months has seen the landscape change dramatically across the world as our habits and lifestyle change to cope with the pandemic plus other events.

The global demand for a wide range of products has resulted in long delivery times which was also evident last year but this year the delay on parts has become worse with the problems with shipping.

Since the new year shipping has become a very slow and expensive process, there are those that think it is because of the pandemic and also those who blame Brexit , the truth is probably in between with the result being most industries are waiting longer than usual for parts and the cost for this slow service has more than tripled.

The shipping problem does not look like going away in the short term with recent issues in the Suez Canal plus recent port closures in Asia due to Covid 19 break outs adding to the misery.

We as BISHTA members have an obligation to keep customers aware of the present issues and this is also why our home page carries the minimum 12 weeks’ delivery banner.

Hot tubs are a long term investment & our handwriting and insistence on a top quality build will not be jeopardised to improve lead times by using inferior products.
