Instructions:

1. Dip the Test Strip into the Water:

   Remove a LaMotte Insta 4 Way Test Strip from the bottle. Immerse the test strip into the hot tub water for about 2 seconds. Make sure to hold the strip horizontally to avoid water running off.

2. Shake off Excess Water:

   Remove the strip from the water and gently shake off any excess water. This prevents any water from affecting the color change reaction.

3. Wait for the Color Reaction:

   Hold the test strip above the water and wait for 15 seconds. The test strips will change color to indicate the levels of chlorine, bromine, pH, alkalinity, and hardness.

4. Compare the Results:

   Compare the color on the strip to the included color chart that comes with the test strips. The color will indicate the free chlorine or bromine levels, pH, total alkalinity, and total hardness in your hot tub water.

5. Interpret the Results:

   The ideal readings for hot tub water are as follows:

   1. Free Chlorine/Bromine: 3-5 ppm (parts per million)

   2. pH: 7.4-7.6

   3. Total Alkalinity: 80-120 ppm

   4. Total Hardness: 150-250 ppm

6. Adjust Water Chemistry:
