Details

Perfect Balance Hot Tub Power Flush is a specialised and stronger version of a standard hot tub flush, designed to deep-clean and remove stubborn build-up in your hot tub's plumbing and internal components. This powerful cleaner targets and removes oils, dirt, biofilm, and scale that can accumulate in the pipes, jets, and other hard-to-reach areas of your hot tub. It’s typically used when your hot tub requires a more thorough clean than what a regular flush can provide, especially if the system hasn’t been cleaned in a while or if you notice reduced water flow or cloudy water.

Product Benefits

  • Powerful Deep Cleaning:

It is designed to tackle stubborn build-up, biofilm, oils, lotions, and other contaminants that standard cleaning methods may not fully remove. It can help break down the toughest residues inside your plumbing system.
  • Restores Water Flow:

Over time, build-up in the plumbing can reduce water flow, leading to reduced performance of your jets and filtration system. Power Flush helps restore optimal water flow by clearing blockages and gunk from the system.
  • Prevents Malodors:

The build-up of organic matter inside your hot tub's plumbing can lead to unpleasant smells. Power Flush eliminates the cause of these odors, leaving your tub fresh and clean.
  • Improves Water Quality:

By removing biofilm and other contaminants, Power Flush helps ensure that your water stays cleaner and more hygienic, improving the overall water quality in your hot tub.
  • Protects Equipment:

Regular flushing with a Power Flush helps prevent wear and tear on your hot tub’s equipment (like the heater, pump, and filters) by keeping the system clean and free of debris that can cause clogs or damage over time.
  • Ideal for Stubborn Build-up:

If you've been using your hot tub for a long time without a deep cleaning or if you’ve noticed cloudy water or sluggish jets, the Power Flush is ideal for a heavy-duty cleaning.

FAQs

What is a hot tub power flush?

A power flush is a high-strength plumbing line cleaner formulated to remove heavy buildup, biofilm, oils, lotions, and stubborn residue from inside hot tub pipes and jets. It provides a deeper clean than standard flush products.

How is a power flush different from a regular hot tub flush?

A power flush is more concentrated and aggressive. It’s designed for:

  • Heavily used hot tubs

  • Tubs with persistent water issues

  • Hot tubs that haven’t been cleaned in a long time

  • Removing thick layers of biofilm

It pulls out more debris and waste than a standard flush.

How often should I use a hot tub power flush?

Use it every 3–6 months, or any time:

  • Water becomes smelly or cloudy quickly

  • Foaming is persistent

  • Sanitizer demand is unusually high

  • You’re opening a neglected or used hot tub

Do I need to remove the filters before using power flush?

Yes. Always remove filters before treatment. The power flush will release large amounts of debris that can clog or permanently damage filters.

Do I need to remove the filters before using power flush?
Can I use power flush with hot or cold water?

Warm or hot water works best—heat loosens oils and biofilm. Most products recommend running the flush with water between 27–40°C.

How long should I run the jets?

Typically:

  • 15–30 minutes with jets on

  • Then let the product soak for 1–12 hours (depending on severity)

  • Run jets again before draining

Always follow your product’s specific instructions.

Will power flush cause a lot of foam?

Yes—usually more foam than a standard flush. This is normal and indicates the product is breaking down deep, hidden contaminants.

Is it safe for my plumbing and jets?

Yes, when used as directed. Power flush formulas are safe for acrylic surfaces, PVC plumbing, pumps, and jets.

Does power flush remove biofilm?

Yes - this is one of its main purposes. Power flush products are specifically engineered to break down stubborn, layered biofilm in plumbing lines.

What should I do after using power flush?
  1. Drain the hot tub completely

  2. Rinse and wipe the shell

  3. Rinse out jets

  4. Refill with fresh water

  5. Install clean or new filters

  6. Balance the water chemistry (pH, alkalinity, sanitiser)

Why does my water look dirty after using it?

This is expected. The power flush releases hidden gunk from pipes, including grease, brown sludge, and organic residue. All of it is removed when the water is drained.

Can power flush help with recurring cloudiness or foam?

Absolutely. If cloudiness, odors, or foam keep returning, a power flush can remove the underlying contamination in the plumbing that chemicals alone can’t reach.
