National Hot Tub Day

National Hot Tub Day

March 28th is national hot tub day!

This a special day in the year allocated to recognise the rise in popularity of hot tubs & the positive attributes hot tubs deliver to all ages throughout the nation.

The diversity of hot tubs is actually very unique, they fall into the same category as appliances such a televisions mobile phones in that they appeal from ages 10 to 70 with an equal level of enjoyment.

The reason they are so popular is that for so many people hot tubs represent some or all of the following: fun, relaxation, sociability & hydrotherapy.

Hot tubs are widely bought in 2 categories, 13 amp (also called plug and play) which can be used in conjunction with a normal household socket. 13-amp models are practical as they require less set up but they are also limited in performance due to the power restrictions.

The other option is a 32 amp which is a more powerful option. With a 32-amp power supply the options to buy are wider with size not an issue. 32amp hot tubs need a 6mm armoured cable which is wired directly into the hot tub, this normally involves more work for the electrician in comparison to the 13-amp option.

If you are a hot tub owner, this is the day to celebrate the fact you have the ultimate family accessory whilst if you’re still aspiring to own a hot tub, today could be the day you realise hot tubs are not as expensive to buy or to run as first imagined and have a browse and make enquiries into making a dream a reality.
