Last week we at Hot Tub Suppliers were saddened to hear of the passing away of a dear customer of ours George Pitt
George was a warm & funny man & had an energy which belied his 90 years.
When calling the office for advice, George would discuss the hot tub for 2 minutes & then spend the rest of conversation discussing more important issues such as his garden, his home and how he was going to spend the rest of the day.
In 2019 we wanted George to enter for the national award of Hot Tub Happiness, this was an award which was more about the person & not the hot tub, it was more to showcase the wide & rich landscape of the British public & how they enjoy their hot tub.
George with the help of his granddaughter Georgina sent us images which are attached to the article which were fantastic… unfortunately we did not read the small print from BISHTA which said no images could be with food or drink in the hand whcih was such a shame as we loved that ice cream image !
Sharon ( George's daughter ) will be selling the hot tub with all the proceeds going to St Margarets Hospice in Minehead who not only looked after George but also Mrs Pitt 5 years ago.
The whole family, including George before he passed wanted the money to go towards St Margaret’s for their amazing support in making it possible for them to stay at home with all the family.
We send our best wishes to Sharon & family on this sad loss, everyone in our office knew George, the engineers who installed and serviced his Hera hot tub knew George & he will be greatly missed.
